Safety information
Please observe the regulations specified in the User’s Guide, and also the
warning information present on the laser shower.
Protect the laser shower from unauthorized use by means of the key pin.
Also observe the appropriate accident prevention regulations for laser radiation.
As a result of its wavelength, the laser radiation is invisible, or only weakly
visible. Do not look into the laser outlet opening, and do not irradiate into
the eyes of other persons. Closed eyes must not be irradiated either.
The safety distance when looking directly into the beam is approx. 50 cm. When used
improperly, lasers can result in eye damage, especially at distances smaller
than the safety distance.
Make sure that no mirrors or other reflecting surfaces are located within the
safety distance from the laser shower (reflection of laser beam). You must
always wear the supplied laser protection glasses.
Only switch on the laser shower when in the treatment position (direct contact
with skin, or only a few mm away from the treatment area). When changing
the treatment position, switch off the laser shower, and only switch it on again
when in the new treatment position. The “Laser” lamp, the 4 intense red light
diodes as well as the therapy time display indicate whether the unit is switched
on. Switch off the laser shower following the treatment, and remove the key pin.
Magnetic and electric fields may influence the laser system functions. Therefore do
not use the laser system in the vicinity of equipment which generate large
electromagnetic fields, e.g. diathermy units or mobile telephones.
The device is subject to the WEEE regulations (waste of electrical
and electronic equipment) 2002/96/EG and may not be disposed
off as normal household waste. If you finally wish to terminate
use of the laser system, please contact the technical service.
The manufacturer is only responsible for safety and reliability if
the laser system is used in accordance with the User’s Guide.
