B. Maintenance Procedure
 Before beginni
ng the treatment, shut the gate valve underneath the air
valve.
 Release the bolts (8) and open the cover.
 Check if the rubber nozzle (4) is intact , wash and replace the nozzle if
torn.
 Check the spherical flap (5) and the float (10) and wash with clean
water.
 Check and wash with clean water the valve body (11) through the
upper cover.
 Open the flushing tap and drain the air valve.
 Wash the drainage elbow through which the air entered and
discharged the valve. This elbow attracts animals looking for humidity
like frogs, mice , etc.
 Reopen the gate valve.

Routine maintenance of the valve is an integral part of
the right procedure for water system maintenance.
The servicing should be done once or twice a year
according to the quality and the kind of the liquids
flowing in the system.
