Installing the Hard Disk Drives

The RAID system is shipped with the disk trays installed in the chassis. Follow

the instructions in this section to install hard disk drives in the disk trays.

To remove the disk tray:

1. Unlock the rear panel door and

pull it open.

2. Push the button on the disk tray

to release the handle, and pull

the disk tray out.

To secure the hard disk drive onto the disk tray:

1. Insert the hard disk drive into the

disk tray, with the connectors

facing outward.

2. Slide the hard disk drive forward

until the connectors align with the

end of the disk tray.

3. Secure the hard disk drive onto

the disk tray with four screws, two

on either side of the disk tray.
