Step 1:
Cut a rectangular slot 2” x 32“
a. Exhaust: from the ridge 8” to 24”
b. Intake: from the eve 12” to 36”
DO NOT cut roof rafters, only
cut an opening in the roof deck.

Step 2:
Apply roofing grade sealant to the
underside of the top and side flanges.
Never put sealant on the bottom flange.
Step 3:
Slide the upper flange under the
shingles. The ribs are to align over
the opening.
