Safety information 5 • All packing and transit bolts must be removed before use. Serious damage can occur to the product and to property if this is not adhered to. See relevant section in the user manual. • After having installed the appliance, check that it is not standing on the inlet and drain hose and the worktop is not pressing the electrical supply cable against the wall.
Product description • Make sure that children or pets do not climb into the drum. To prevent children or pets becoming trapped inside the drum the machine incorporates a special feature. To activate this device, rotate the button (without pressing it) inside the door clockwise until the groove is horizontal. If necessary use a coin. To disable this device and restore the possibility of closing the door, rotate the button anticlockwise until the groove is vertical.

In the event of operating problems, some alarm codes can be displayed, for example (see chapter «What to do if...»). End of programme When the programme has finished a blinking zero is displayed, the DOOR pilot light ( 10.2 ), the WASHING pilot light ( 10.1 ) and the pilot light of button 8 go out. The door can be opened.
Personalization PERSONALIZATION Acoustic signals The machine is provided with an acoustic device, which sounds in the following cases: • at the end of the cycle • in the event of operating problems. By pressing the 3 and 4 buttons simultaneously for about 6 seconds, the acoustic signal is deactivated (except for the events of operating problems). By pressing these 2 buttons again, the acoustic signal is reactivated.
Daily use 11 1. Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Measure out the amount of detergent required, pour it into the main wash compartment and, if you wish to carry out the prewash phase or to perform the stain function, pour the detergent or the stain remover into the . compartment marked 2. If required, pour fabric softener into the compartment marked (the amount used must not exceed the MAX mark in the drawer). Close the drawer gently.
Daily use Select the SPIN speed or the RINSE HOLD option (Button 2) When the required programme has been selected, your appliance automatically proposes the maximum spin speed provided for that programme. Press the button 2 repeatedly to change the spin speed, if you want your laundry to be spun at a speed different from the one proposed by the washing machine. The relevant light will light up.
Daily use 13 DAILY: by pressing button 6 once, the relative pilot light comes on and the washing duration will be reduced to wash daily soiled laundry. SUPER QUICK: by pressing button 6 twice, the relative pilot light remains lit, the washing duration will be reduced to wash lightly soiled laundry or items that have been used or worn for a short time. On the display will be visualized the decreased washing time.
Daily use Select an additional rinse This appliance is designed for saving water. However, for people with a very delicate skin (allergic to detergents) it may be necessary to rinse the laundry using an extra quantity of water (extra rinse). Press simultaneously buttons 2 and 3 for some seconds: the pilot light 10.3 comes on. This function stays permanently on. To remove it press the same buttons again until the pilot light 10.3 goes off.
• When the programme has finished the display shows a blinking . The pilot light 10.2 goes off. The door can be opened. Turn the programme selector dial to to switch the machine off. Remove the laundry from the drum and carefully check that the drum is empty. If you do not intend to carry out another wash, close the water tap. Leave the door open to prevent the formation of mildew and unpleasant smells.

Helpful hints and tips Treat curtains with special care. Remove hooks or tie them up in a bag or net. Removing stains Stubborn stains may not be removed by just water and detergent. It is therefore advisable to treat them prior to washing. Blood: treat fresh stains with cold water. For dried stains, soak overnight in water with a special detergent then rub in the soap and water. Oil based paint: moisten with benzine stain remover, lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab the stain; treat several times.
Care and cleaning 19 Quantity of detergent to be used The type and quantity of detergent will depend on the type of fabric, load size, degree of soiling and hardness of the water used. Follow the product manufacturers’ instructions on quantities to use. Use less detergent if: • you are washing a small load • the laundry is lightly soiled • large amounts of foam form during washing. Degrees of water hardness Water hardness is classified in so-called “degrees” of hardness.
Care and cleaning Do not use methylated spirits, solvents or similar products to clean the cabinet. Detergent dispenser drawer The detergent dispenser drawer should be cleaned regularly. 1. To aid cleaning, the top part of the additive compartment should be removed. Remove the detergent dispenser drawer by pressing the catch downwards and by pulling it out. 2. Flush it out under a tap, to remove any traces of accumulated powder. 3.
Care and cleaning 21 1. Remove any rust deposits on the drum with a cleaning agent for stainless steel. 2. Run a washing cycle without any washing to clean off any cleaning agent residues. Programme: Short Cotton Programme at maximum temperature and add approx. 1/4 measuring cup of detergent. Door seal Check from time to time the door seal and objects that could be trapped in the fold.
Care and cleaning 4. Release the emergency emptying hose ( B ), place it in the container and remove its cap cover. 5. When no more water comes out, unscrew the pump cover ( A ) by turning it anti-clockwise and remove the filter. Use pliers, if necessary. Always keep a rag nearby to dry up any water spillages when removing the cover. Clean the filter under a tap, to remove any traces of fluff. 6. Remove foreign bodies and fluff from the filter seat and from the pump impeller.
Care and cleaning 23 Cleaning the water inlet filters If the appliance doesn't fill, it takes a long time to fill with water, the starting button blinks yellow or the display (if available) shows the relevant alarm (see chapter "What to do if..." for more details), check if the water inlet filters are blocked . To clean the water inlet filters: 1. Turn off the water tap. 2. Unscrew the hose from the tap. 3. Clean the filter in the hose with a stiff brush. 4. Screw the hose back onto the tap.
What to do if… Emergency emptying out If the water is not discharged, proceed as follows to empty out the appliance: 1. pull out the plug from the power socket; 2. close the water tap; 3. if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; 4. place a bowl on the floor and place the end of the emergency emptying hose into the bowl. Remove its cap. The water should drain by gravity into the bowl. When the bowl is full, put the cap back on the hose. Empty the bowl.
What to do if… Problem 25 Possible cause/Solution The washing machine does not start: The door has not been closed. • Close the door firmly. The plug is not properly inserted in the power socket. • Insert the plug into the power socket. There is no power at the socket. • Please check your domestic electrical installation. The main fuse has blown. • Replace the fuse. The selector dial is not correctly positioned and the button 8 has not been depressed.
What to do if… Problem Possible cause/Solution There is water on the floor: Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent (creates too much foam) has been used. • Reduce the detergent quantity or use another one. Check whether there are any leaks from one of the inlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see this as the water runs down the hose; check to see if it is damp. • Check the water inlet hose connection. The drain hose is damaged. • Change it with a new one.
What to do if… Problem 27 Possible cause/Solution The machine vibrates or is noisy: The transit bolts and packing have not been removed. • Check the correct installation of the appliance. The support feet have not been adjusted • Check the correct levelling of the appliance. The laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum. • Redistribute the laundry. Maybe there is very little laundry in the drum. • Load more laundry.

Installation 2. Remove the power supply cable and the draining and inlet hose from the hose holders on the rear of the appliance. 3. Unscrew the three bolts with the key supplied with the appliance. 4. Slide out the relevant plastic spacers.
Installation 31 5. Fill the smaller upper hole and the two large ones with the corresponding plastic plug caps supplied in the bag containing the instruction booklet. Positioning and levelling Install the machine on a flat hard floor. Make sure that air circulation around the machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Before placing it on small tiles, apply a rubber coating. Never try to correct any unevenness in the floor by putting pieces of wood, cardboard or similar materials under the machine.
Installation After having levelled the appliance, tighten the lock nuts. Water inlet An inlet hose is supplied and can be found inside the machine drum. This appliance must be connected to a cold water supply. Do not use the hose from your previous machine to connect to the water supply. 1. Open the porthole and extract the inlet hose. 2. Connect the hose with the angled connection to the machine. Do not place the inlet hose downwards.
Installation 33 Water-stop device The inlet hose is provided with a water stop device, which protects against damage caused by water leaks in the hose which could develop due to natural ageing of the hose. This fault is shown by a red sector in the window «A» . Should this occur, turn the water tap off and refer to your Service Centre to replace the hose. A Water drainage The end of the drain hose can be positioned in three ways: 1.
Electrical connection The drain hose may be extended to a maximum of 4 metres. An additional drain hose and joining piece is available from your local Service Centre. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Information on the electrical connection is given on the rating plate on the inner edge of the appliance door. Check that your domestic electrical installation can take the maximum load required, also taking into account any other appliances in use. WARNING! Connect the machine to an earthed socket.
Building-in BUILDING-IN This appliance has been designed to be built into the kitchen furniture. The recess should have the dimensions shown in picture A . In this case it is sufficient to screw in the hinges (1) and the counter-magnet (6) provided with the appliance, at the right level (Fig. B ).
Environment concerns • Mounting the door Fix the hinges (1) to the machine by means of the M5x15 screws (3-Fig. B ). The hinges can be adjusted to compensate for possible uneven thickness of the door. To align the door perfectly it is necessary to loosen the screw (3-Fig. B ), adjust the door and tighten the screw again. • Counter-magnet (6) The appliance is prearranged for a magnetic closure of the door.

Uso diario 47 Esta opción se puede ajustar de dos maneras: • antes de presionar el botón 8 : es imposible poner la máquina en marcha. • después de presionar el botón 8 : será imposible cambiar cualquier otro programa u opción. Para activar o desactivar esta opción, presione simultáneamente los botones 4 y 5 durante seis segundos hasta que el símbolo 7.3 aparezca o desaparezca del indicador. USO DIARIO Cargue la ropa 1. Abra la puerta tirando cuidadosamente de la palanca de la puerta hacia fuera.
Uso diario 2. Si es necesario, vierta el suavizante en el compartimento con la marca (la cantidad utilizada no debe superar la marca MAX del compartimento). Cierre el depósito suavemente. Seleccione el programa que desee con el selector de programas (1) Utilice las tablas de lavado (consulte el apartado "Programas de lavado") para elegir el programa adecuado a cada tipo de tejido y colada. Gire el selector de programas hasta el programa que desee.
Uso diario 49 Botones de selección de programas Existe la posibilidad de combinar distintas funciones según el programa. Debe seleccionarlas después de elegir el programa y antes de presionar el botón 8 . Al presionar estos botones se encienden los pilotos correspondientes. Si se vuelven a presionar, los pilotos se apagan. Si se selecciona una opción incorrecta, el piloto amarillo del botón 8 parpadea 3 veces y el mensaje Err aparece en el indicador durante unos segundos.
Uso diario Para interrumpir un programa en marcha, pulse la tecla 8 : el piloto rojo correspondiente empieza a parpadear Para reiniciar el programa a partir del punto en el que se interrumpió, pulse de nuevo la tecla 8 . Si ha seleccionado un intervalo de inicio diferido con la tecla 9 , la máquina comenzará la cuenta atrás. Cuando se selecciona una opción incorrecta, el piloto amarillo de la tecla 8 parpadea 3 veces y el mensaje Err se visualiza durante unos 2 segundos.
Uso diario 51 Modificación de una opción o de un programa en marcha Es posible cambiar cualquier opción antes de que el programa la ejecute. Antes de realizar cambios, es preciso detener momentáneamente la lavadora presionando el botón 8 . El cambio de un programa en marcha sólo puede realizarse reiniciándolo . Gire el selecy, a continuación, hasta la posición del nuevo programa. Para tor de programas hasta poner en marcha el nuevo programa, vuelva a presionar el botón 8 .
En espera : una vez finalizado el programa, al cabo de unos minutos se activa el sistema de ahorro de energía. Se reduce el brillo de la pantalla. Al pulsar cualquier tecla, el aparato abandona el estado de ahorro de energía.

Consejos útiles 55 Quite las manchas difíciles antes de lavar la ropa. Frote las zonas particularmente sucias con un detergente especial o en pasta. Tenga cuidado con las cortinas. Lávelas sin los ganchos o dentro de una bolsa o malla. Eliminación de manchas A veces no basta con agua y detergente para quitar las manchas difíciles. En esos casos es aconsejable aplicar un tratamiento antes de lavar las prendas. Sangre: aplique agua fría a las manchas de sangre fresca.
Mantenimiento y limpieza El detergente y los aditivos deben introducirse en los compartimentos correspondientes del depósito dosificador antes de poner en marcha el programa de lavado. Si se utiliza detergente líquido, debe seleccionar un programa sin prelavado. La lavadora incorpora un sistema de recirculación que garantiza un aprovechamiento óptimo del detergente concentrado.
Mantenimiento y limpieza 57 • El tambor no debe contener ropa. • Seleccione el programa de lavado de algodón de mayor temperatura. • Utilice una dosis normal de detergente: puede ser en polvo con propiedades biológicas. Limpieza del exterior Limpie la carcasa exterior del electrodoméstico con agua y jabón únicamente y, a continuación, séquelo completamente. No utilice alcohol desnaturalizado, disolventes ni otros productos similares para limpiar la carcasa.
Mantenimiento y limpieza 3. Después de extraer la cubeta, utilice un cepillo pequeño para limpiar el hueco, asegurándose de eliminar todos los residuos de detergente en polvo de la parte superior e inferior del hueco. 4. Vuelva a colocar la cubeta y ponga en marcha el programa de aclarado sin que el tambor contenga ropa. Tambor de lavado La presencia de cuerpos extraños oxidantes en el lavado y el agua corriente con contenido en hierro pueden dar lugar a la formación de depósitos de óxido en el tambor.
Mantenimiento y limpieza Proceda de la siguiente manera: 1. Desconecte el enchufe de la toma de corriente. 2. Si es necesario, espere hasta que el agua se enfríe. 3. Coloque un recipiente cerca de la puerta del filtro para recoger el líquido que pueda derramarse. 4. Saque la manguera de descarga de emergencia ( B ), colóquela en el recipiente y quite el tapón. 5. Cuando deje de salir agua, desenrosque la tapa del filtro ( A ) girándola hacia la izquierda y retire el filtro.
Mantenimiento y limpieza 8. Vuelva a colocar el filtro en la bomba insertándolo correctamente en las guías especiales. Enrosque la tapa de la bomba firmemente girándola hacia la derecha. ADVERTENCIA Cuando la lavadora está en marcha, dependiendo del programa seleccionado, puede haber agua caliente en el filtro. Nunca extraiga la tapa del filtro durante un ciclo de lavado; espere siempre a que la lavadora haya terminado el ciclo y esté vacía.
Mantenimiento y limpieza 61 7. Vuelva a enroscar la manguera a la máquina y asegúrese de que la conexión queda bien apretada. 8. Abra el grifo. Descarga de emergencia Si la lavadora no descarga, proceda de la siguiente manera para vaciarla: 1. desconecte la clavija de la toma de corriente; 2. cierre la toma de agua; 3. si es necesario, espere a que el agua se enfríe; 4. coloque un recipiente en el suelo e introduzca el extremo de la manguera de descarga de emergencia en él. Quite el tapón de la manguera.
Qué hacer si… Cada vez que se vacía el agua a través de la manguera de descarga de emergencia, es preciso introducir 2 litros de agua en el compartimento de lavado principal del depósito de detergente y, a continuación, poner en marcha el programa de descarga. De este modo se activará el dispositivo ECO VALVE y se evitará que no se utilice parte del detergente en el siguiente lavado.
Qué hacer si… Problema 63 Causa y soluciones posibles La lavadora no se llena de agua: El grifo de entrada del agua está cerrado. • Abra el grifo. La manguera de entrada de agua está doblada o retorcida. • Compruebe la conexión de la manguera de entrada de agua. El filtro de la toma de entrada o el filtro de la válvula de entrada están obstruidos. • Limpie los filtros de los tubos de entrada del agua. Consulte "Limpieza de los filtros de entrada de agua" . La puerta no está bien cerrada.
Qué hacer si… Problema Causa y soluciones posibles Hay agua en el suelo: Se ha utilizado demasiado detergente o uno inadecuado (que produce demasiada espuma). • Reduzca la cantidad de detergente o utilice otro.
