Changing the default settings
OSD language
Select the desired language for the on-screen displays.
Captions
Besides the lingusitic content these subtitles also describe
environmental noises, e.g. by stating "Quite Music" and provide
further information about the film. This function mainly addresses
viewers with hearing impediment or deafness.
ON: Subtitles are displayed, if the DVD provides this type of
information.
OFF: No subtitles will be displayed, even if the DVD contains
subtitle information.
Screen saver
The player is able to display a still image for any time on the screen.
This can cause damage to the screen. It is therefore recommended
to activate the screen saver.
The following options are available:
ON: The screen saver is activated (default setting).
OFF: The screen saver is deactivated.
Last Memory
Specify how the DVD-Player should respond if the user presses the
Stop-button (Fig. 2/24) during play.
ON: If the replay of a DVD, CD or VCD is stopped and resumed
again, the replay will start at the position the replay was stopped.
OFF: If the replay of a DVD, CD or VCD is stopped and resumed
again, the replay will start at the beginning of the medium.

NOTE:
If you would like to make use of the "Captions" function you must
make sure that the selected DVD-title supports this feature. If the
subtitles are still not displayed, your TV-set may probably not be
able to show subtitles.
