11.5.9.3 Access Your Answering Machine Remotely
You can ring your phone from another tone-dialling phone to switch the
answering machine on or off, and/or listen to your messages remotely.
tPlace a call from a tone-dialling phone to your phone.
tWhen the answering machine answers the call and starts playing the
OGM, press the * key. The OGM will stop playing
tEnter the 4-digit Remote Access PIN (default PIN is 0000). You will hear
a single beep if the 4 digits are accepted, and then will need to press 5
to start playing any messages.
Note:
The * may be entered during or after the OGM, and the 4-digit PIN should
be follow without any delays.
Note:
If the 4-digit Remote Access PIN is not accepted, you will hear a multiple
beep, and if it is entered incorrectly three times consecutively, the line will
be released automatically.
