12.11 Incoming Call Messages (ICM)
If the answering machine is ON and set for “ANS & REC“, when there is an incoming call, the answering
machine will answer it and play the OGM, followed by a beep sound. The caller can then leave a message
of up to 1, 2 or 3 minutes, or of unlimited length up to the available memory on the answering machine,
as set in section 12.12.2. If the “BS SCREENING“ is ON, the caller‘s voice will also be played through
the loudspeaker on the base station, to allow you to screen the call and decide if you want to leave the
answering machine to record the message, or if you want to talk to the caller directly.
At any time if you want to pick up the call, you can lift up the corded handset or press
to intercept the
call and talk to the caller directly. The message recording will be stopped automatically. If the answering
machine is in the process of recording, the message already stored will be saved.
tYou can use the corded handset, the speakerphone or the cordless handset to intercept the call to speak
to the caller during ICM recording. Then the message that is currently being recorded will be saved as
a new message.
