Warranty
NOTE The actual warranty on your instrument depends on the date it was ordered as well
as whether or not any warranty options were purchased at that time. To determine
the exact warranty on your instrument, contact Agilent Technologies with the model
and serial number of your instrument. See page 120 for contact information.
This Agilent Technologies instrument product is warranted against defects in
material and workmanship for the warranty period. During the warranty period,
Agilent Technologies will, at its option, either repair or replace products which
prove to be defective.
If the warranty covers repair or service to be performed at the Buyers facility, then
the service or repair will be performed at the Buyers facility at no charge within
Agilent service travel areas. Outside service travel areas, warranty service will be
performed at Buyers facility only upon Agilent’s prior agreement, and Buyer shall
pay Agilent’s round-trip travel expenses. In all other areas, products must be
returned to a service facility designated by Agilent.
If the product is to be returned to Agilent Technologies for service or repair, it must
be returned to a service facility designated by Agilent. Buyer shall prepay shipping
charges to Agilent and Agilent shall pay shipping charges to return the product to
Buyer. However, Buyer shall pay all shipping charges, duties, and taxes for products
returned to Agilent from another country.
Agilent Technologies warrants that its software and firmware designated by Agilent
for use with an instrument will execute its programming instructions when properly
installed on that instrument. Agilent Technologies, does not warrant that the
operation of the instrument, or software, or firmware will be uninterrupted or
error-free.
