Wheel weights and tire chains must be used with
your snow blade for traction. These accessories are
available at your nearest Sears retail store.
Using the Snow Blade
• Preparethelawntractorengineforcoldweather
usinginstructionsfurnishedwiththelawntractor.
• Alwaysbeginwiththetransmissioninrst(low)gear
andgraduallyincreasespeedasrequired.
• Do notrepeatedlypushsnowinthesamedirection,
causingexcessivebuildupwitheachsuccessive
pass.
• Toreduceicingontheblade,allowthelawntractor
andbladetoadjusttooutdoortemperaturebefore
operating.
• Forimprovedsnowremovalperformance,coatthe
bladewithautomotivetypepastewax.
CAUTION: Inspectcarefullythearea
tobeworkedbeforeoperatingthesnow
blade.Avoidpipes,roots,curbsorother
heavyobstructions.
CAUTION: Knowtheterrain.Avoid
exceptionallysteepslopesordropoffs
whichmaybehiddenbythesnow.
Neverrunthesnowbladeintoheavy
materialathighspeed.
CAUTION: Alwayslowerthebladeto
thegroundbeforeleavingthetractor.
