Custom Search Mode
Custom Search mode lets you program and search 10 custom search
ranges. You can search any of these ranges simultaneously and
reprogram each custom search range. During custom search, the
scanner searches starting with the lowest frequency in the search range
you select to the highest frequency in the range. This feature lets you
search through the preset frequency ranges. (Programming Custom
Search Ranges, page 101). The preset frequency ranges are:

To start a Custom Search, press Srch/Svc. When the scanner finds a
transmission, it stops on it. When the transmission ends, the scanner
resumes searching according to the delay setting.
While searching, the upper line displays the current search bank name.
The lower line displays the search frequency and the direction indicator
(↑or ↓) with the modulation.
Enabled search banks appear on the lowest line. Disabled search bank
numbers are not displayed. The currently searched bank number
flashes.
