3.8 AMPS24 HP - Recommended DC Breaker and Wire Sizes

The recommendations in this table are for reference only. A registered professional engi-

neer must review and approve or modify these recommendations in compliance with appli-

cable national and local electrical and building codes.

NOTE:

Maximum wire gauge size is 350 kcmil; 4/0 or smaller is recommended, 90°C or better copper only.

Torque speciﬁcations for DC wiring (3/8" bolts that attach the DC lugs at the back of the DC

distribution box) are as follows:

• Imperial: 190 – 240 inch/lbs

• Metric: 21.5 – 27.1 N-m
