4.5 Quick Start for recording through USB
There is the ability to use the Eclipse384 as an “Audio Interface” for recording purposes. This works
via the USB.
1. You can select which input will be sent for recording from the USB menu on the AD/DA tab.
2. Then, start your recording software program and use the Eclipse as an Input device as you
could do with any other audio interface.
3. Be sure to match all the sample rates in your audio chain : Clock sample rate from the
Software Control Panel of the Eclipse, Eclipse sample rate on sound preferences on your
Windows system or Audio MIDI preferences on your MAC, and recording software sample
rate.
4. Keep also in mind that when you want to playback or record through USB, the Eclipse is
the “USB Master”. So in a software recording program the “sync mode” should be changed
to external.
