CM-5960 APOLLO Fireplace for the Tabletop
Design: Wolf Wagner for CARL MERTENS
Congratulations on your purchase of the APOLLO Fireplace for the Tabletop. The
combination of 18/10 satin stainless steel, glass, quality workmanship and functional
design will provide many years of enjoyment.
Handling and care of the Fire Place:
Use only premium quality liquid fuel designed for bio-fireplaces and glass
fireplaces, such as Fanola Premium Liquid Fuel available through
www.fanola.com
or similar bio-fuel available at hardware stores.
Position the fireplace in a draft-free location. Fill the fuel holder no more than ¾
full of the fuel. Put the adjustable doors in position, engaged but fully opened. A
handle for the doors is included keep out of reach of children!
Light the fuel with a long lighter, such as the Carl Mertens 5818 or 5819 lighters.
If matches are used, long wooden matches are best. Beware of the flame at the
moment the flame engages with the fuel! Keep hair and face away from the top
of the glass frame!!!
Once the flame has established itself, the adjustable doors can be partially
closed so the flame is not as wide.
When ¾ full, the fuel will burn for three to five hours, depending on how open or
closed the adjustable doors are positioned.
DO NOT move the fireplace when the flame is burning. The fireplace should be
moved only when it is cold.
At all times, the Fire Place MUST be kept out of the reach of children, especially
when lighted.
Cleaning: All parts can be cleaned with a soft, dampened cloth.
