SV 07 enableS mobile communication

The Supply Unit SV 07 provides electrical power for communication

equipment with 24VDC nominal voltage. It is optimized for operation of

sensitive radio receivers and gets supplied by different sources such as AC

mains, generator or vehicle power. An additional system battery covers peak

demands and supplies uninterrupted power. Internal control circuits protect

the equipment. An integrated display informs the local user of relevant data

such as source voltage or load current. The Supply Unit SV 07 offers ﬁve

different protected connections and allows for parallel operation in order

to increase the available power.

product sheet: SV 07 3 Functions The Ascom Supply Unit SV 07 supports the following modes of operation: Mobile Operation If the vehicle motor is running the loads are fed from the vehicle alternator via the SV 07. At the same time the system battery is charged via the SV 07. If the vehicle motor is not running, the flow of energy is inverted: vehicle battery and system battery supply the SV 07 and the connected loads. The protection circuit of the SV 07 avoids a total discharge of the vehicle battery.
