a)Keepworkareacleanandwelllit.Clutteredordarkareasinviteaccidents.
b)Donotoperatepowertoolsinexplosiveatmospheres,suchasinthepresenceofflammable
liquids,gasesordust.Powertoolscreatesparkswhichmayignitethedustorfumes.

Keepchildrenandbystandersawaywhileoperatingapowertool.Distractionscancauseyouto
losecontrol.
2)Electricalsafety
a)Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.Nevermodifythepluginanyway.Donotuseany
adapterplugswithearthed(grounded)powertools.Unmodifiedplugsandmatchingoutlets
will
reduceriskofelectricshock.
b)Avoidbodycontactwithearthedorgroundedsurfacessuchaspipes,radiators,rangesand
refrigerators.Thereisanincreasedriskofelectricshockifyourbodyisearthedorgrounded.
c)Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions.Waterentering
apowertoolwillincrease
theriskofelectricshock.
d)Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordforcarrying,pullingorunpluggingthepowertool.
Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,sharpedgesor movingparts.Damagedorentangledcords
increasetheriskofelectricshock.
e)When
operatingapowertooloutdoors,useanextensioncordsuitableforoutdooruse.Useofa
cordsuitableforoutdoorusereducestheriskofelectricshock.
f)Ifoperatingapowertoolinadamplocationisunavoidable,usearesidualcurrentdevice(RCD)
protectedsupply.Useofan
RCDreducestheriskofelectricshock.
3)Personalsafety
a)Stayalert,watchwhatyouaredoingandusecommonsensewhenoperatingapowertool.Do
notuseapowertoolwhileyouaretiredorundertheinfluenceofdrugs,alcoholormedication.A
momentofinattentionwhile
operatingpowertoolsmayresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
b)Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchas
dustmask,nonskidsafetyshoes,hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditions
willreducepersonalinjuries.
c)Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisin
theoffpositionbeforeconnectingto
powersourceand/orbatterypack,pickinguporcarryingthetool.Carryingpowertoolswithyour
fingerontheswitchorenergizingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.
d)Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.A

areconnectedandproperlyused.Useofdustcollectioncanreduce
dustrelatedhazards.
4)Powertooluseandcare
a)Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication.Thecorrectpower
toolwilldothejobbetterandsaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b)Donotusethepowertool
iftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff.Anypowertoolthatcannotbe
controlledwiththeswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
c)Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orthebatterypackfromthepowertoolbefore
makinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringpowertools.Suchpreventivesafety
measuresreducetheriskofstartingthepowertoolaccidentally.
