5.5.10 Configuring the Trunk Group Settings
The Trunk Group Settings Table is used to determine the method in which new calls are
assigned to channels within each trunk group. If such a rule doesn’t exist (for a specific
Trunk group), the global rule, defined by the Channel Select Mode parameter (Protocol
Definition > General Parameters), applies.
You can also configure the Trunk Group Settings table using the ini file parameter
TrunkGroupSettings (refer to Section 6.5.9 on page 236).
¾ To configure the Trunk Group Settings table, take these 7 steps:
1. Open the ‘Trunk Group Settings’ screen (Protocol Management menu > Trunk
Group Settings); the ‘Trunk Group Settings’ screen is displayed.

2. From the 'Routing Index' drop-down list, select the range of entries that you want to
edit (up to 24 entries can be configured).
3. In the 'Trunk Group ID' field, enter the Trunk Group ID number.
4. From the 'Channel Select Mode' drop-down list, select the Channel Select Mode that
determines the method in which new calls are assigned to channels within the Trunk
groups entered in the field to the right of this field. For information on available
Channel Select Modes, refer to Table 5-20.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4, for each defined Trunk group.
