5.8.2.1 Loading the Auxiliary Files via the Embedded Web Server
¾ To load an auxiliary file to the gateway using the embedded Web
server, take these 7 steps:
1. Open the ‘Auxiliary Files’ screen (Software Upgrade menu > Load Auxiliary Files);
the ‘Auxiliary Files’ screen is displayed.

2. Click the Browse button corresponding to the type of file that you want to load, and
then navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to load.
3. Select the file, and then click Open; the name and path of the file appear in the field
next to the Browse button.
4. Click the Send File button corresponding to the field that contains the name of the file
you want to load.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each file you want to load.
6. To save the loaded auxiliary files so they are available after a power fail, refer to
Section 5.9.2 on page 193.
7. To reset the Mediant 1000, refer to Section 5.9.3 on page 195.
Notes:
Saving an auxiliary file to flash memory may disrupt traffic on the
Mediant 1000. To avoid this, disable all traffic on the device by
performing a graceful lock (refer to Section 5.9.1 on page 192).
File names preceded by an exclamation mark (!) are not changeable
on-the-fly and require that the device be reset (e.g., Call Progress
Tones file).
