5.10 Monitoring the Gateway (Home Page)
The Home icon, located above the main menu bar, opens the Home page. This page
allows you to perform the following:
 Monitor trunks and channels (refer to Section 5.10.1 on page 199)
 Monitor analog and digital modules (refer to Section 5.10.2 on page 201)
 Monitor Ethernet ports, Dry Contacts, power supply units, and fan tray unit (refer to
Section 5.10.3 on page 202)
 View the Active Alarms table (refer to Section 5.10.4 on page 202)
 View trunk settings (refer to Section 5.10.5 on page 203)
 View Ethernet port settings (refer to Section 5.10.6 on page 204)
 Assign a name to ports (refer to Section 5.10.7 on page 204)
 Release analog channels (refer to Section 5.10.8 on page 205)
 Replace modules (refer to Section 5.10.9 on page 205)
¾ To access the Home page, take this step:
 Open the Home page by clicking the Home icon ; the Home page is displayed.

The Home page also displays general information in the General Information pane. This
information includes parameters such as the gateway's IP address, the number of digital
and analog ports, and firmware version.
Table 5-44 on page 198 describes the areas of the graphic display of the Mediant 1000
chassis.
