Version 5.0 67 December 2006
Table 5-3: Protocol Definition, General Parameters (continues on pages 64 to 68)
Parameter Description
H.225 Dial Port
[H225DialPort]
TCP port number on which the gateway sends H.225/Setup messages.
The valid range is 0 to 65534. The default value is 1720.
Send Channel Non
Standard Info
[SendChannelNonStandar
d]
0 = Don't send (default)
1 = Send
If enabled the trunk and B-channel information is sent in Setup and Proceeding
messages, in the non-standard part. The added text is: ‘Trunk=x/Bchannel=y’ (x=1
to 8, y=1 to 31).
Enable Q.931 Cause
[EnableQ931Cause]
Disable [0] = H.225 Reason is sent in H.323 Release Complete message.
Enable [1] = Q.931 Cause is sent in H.323 Release Complete message
(default).
H.245 Round Trip Time
[H245RoundTripTime]
The time period (in seconds) for generating H.245 round trip delay requests.
The range is 0 to 3600.
The default time is 0 seconds (H.245 round trip delay requests are not generated).
Enable H.235 Security
[EnableH235Security]
Disable [0] = Disabled (default)
Enable [1] = H.235 Security Annex D Procedure 1 is enabled
H.235 User Name
[UserName]
Username string up to 20 characters for H.235 security.
The username string is used for the registration and authentication process with a
Gatekeeper.
H.235 Password
[Password]
Password string up to 20 characters for H.235 security.
The password string is used for the registration and authentication process with a
Gatekeeper.
Play Ringback Tone to IP
[PlayRBTone2IP]
Don’t Play [0] = Ringback tone isn’t played to the IP side of the call (default).
Play [1] = Ringback tone is played to the IP side of the call.
If configured to ‘1’ (Play), and if a voice channel is already opened (using Fast
Start, early H.245, or Tunneling), the gateway may play a ringback tone to IP for
IP-to-Tel calls, according to the following:
a. For CAS interfaces, the gateway sends H225/Alert with PI=8 and plays a
Ringback tone to IP.
b. For ISDN interfaces, if a Progress or an Alert message with PI (1 or 8) is
received from the ISDN, the gateway doesn’t play a Ringback tone to IP. It
assumes that the Ringback tone is played by the ISDN switch. The gateway
interworks the PI value from the ISDN to H.225/Alert and Progress messages.
Otherwise, the gateway plays a ringback tone to IP after receiving an ISDN Alert
message. It sends H225/Alert with PI=8, signaling the originating party to open a
voice channel to hear the played Ringback tone.
Note: If ‘EnableDigitDelivery = 1’, the gateway doesn’t play a Ringback tone to IP.
Play Ringback Tone to Tel
[PlayRBTone2Tel]
Don’t Play [0] = Ringback Tone isn’t played.
Play Local [1] = Local Ringback Tone is played to the Tel side of the call when
H.225 / Alert message is received.
Prefer IP [2] = Ringback Tone is played to the Tel side of the call only if Progress
Indicator (PI) is Not received in H.225 / Alert message (default).
According to Fast Start [3] = Ringback tone is played either for H.323 Normal
connect, or when fast start confirmation is received (for the first time) in Connect
message. The gateway plays Ringback tone after an H.225 Alert is received, but
only in H.323 Normal connect procedure. For Fast Start procedure, the gateway
doesn’t play Ringback tone.
