6.15 T−Net Box or another external answering machine
If the telephone network provider has an external answering machine
(e.g. the T−Net Box) available for you, the icon indicates new
messages have been recorded. After playing back all the messages on
the external answering machine, the icon disappears from the display.
The icon can also be deleted in the following way:

Caution: The provision of an external answering machine and
indication of new messages via the icon are optional ser-
vices from the telephone network provider. These functions
can only be used when your telephone network provider actu-
ally offers the service. Contact your network provider for further
information.
6.16 Paging the handset from the base station
If you have misplaced the handset, press the Paging button on the
base station. The handset rings for 30 seconds, making it easy to find.
To interrupt the function prematurely before the 30 seconds has expired,
press the

button on the handset or the button on the base
station.
6.17 Headset connection
A connection port for a headset is provided on the left side of the
handset underneath a rubber cover. Use a 2.5 mm stereo phone jack to
connect the headset. There is no guarantee the headset will function
properly.
