8 Caller Number Display (CLIP Function)
The CLIP function enables you to view the number of a caller when a
call is received. If this function is available with your telephone line, the
number of the caller appears in the display when the phone rings. If the
caller’s number is stored in your phone book, the name stored in the
telephone book is also displayed with the phone number. If the caller has
suppressed transmission of his phone number, the message

appears in the display. The phone number cannot be
displayed and, thus, neither can it be stored in the calls list.
Caution: The caller number display function is an optional
service offered by telephone network providers. The caller
number appears in the display if the service is offered by your
telephone network provider. Contact your network provider for
further information.
8.1 Calls lists
There are three call records lists available in which to see the calls you
have taken and calls you have missed. Ten phone numbers are stored in
the list of calls received and twenty phone numbers in the list of missed
calls so that you wont miss a call even if you are absent for a time. In
addition, the redialling list contains the last ten phone numbers dialled.
As soon as the respective list is full, the oldest phone number is deleted
from the list.
8.1.1 Dialling missed calls directly
If a new phone number has been recorded in the missed calls list in your
absence, the message
!   
appears in the
display. If more calls have been missed, the corresponding number is
displayed. Please proceed as follows to call back a missed call directly:
