Faults Corrective measures
The handset switches off
automatically
Place the handset in the base station
for 14 hours. If this does not help, re-
place the rechargeable standard batte-
ries.
Following a charge time of
14 hours, the icon
remains unchanged in the
display
The rechargeable standard batteries
are empty or defective.
Place the handset correctly in the base
station, clean the contact surfaces on
the handset and the base station with
a soft, dry cloth.
Display is dark Caused by direct sunlight, allow hand-
set to cool down.
The caller number display
(CLIP) does not function
The caller number display function is
an optional service offered by tele-
phone network providers. The caller
number appears in the display if the
service is offered by your telephone
network provider. Contact your net-
work provider for further information.
The caller has suppressed the trans-
mission of their phone number.
The LED on the ans-
wering machine flashes
Set the time on the answering ma-
chine (refer to Chapter 17.2).
The LED on the
answering machine
flashes rapidly
The answering machine memory is
full.
Delete messages from the memory.
The answering machine
does not take calls
Ensure that the answering machine is
connected correctly and switched on.
Check whether the answering ma-
chine memory is full. Delete messages
from the memory, if necessary.
