Taking a call
, or Take the call
When the handset rings, you can change the handset ringing tone volume by pres-
sing the or buttons.
If the ringing tone has been deactivated on the handset, incoming calls are only indi-
cated in the handset display and by the base station (as long as Tone dialling mode
has not been deactivated).
Automatic answering
If the automatic answering" function has been activated, a call is taken automatically on re-
moving the handset from the base/charging station.

Taking two external calls
You will hear acoustic signals (call waiting) if a second call is received while you are talking on
the telephone. The number of the second caller appears in the display. It is possible to switch
between the two callers. The connection to the respective other" caller is put on hold.
, Switch to other caller
The functions for phone number display (CLIP), holding calls and call waiting are sup-
plementary services offered by your telephone network provider. Contact your net-
work provider for further information.
Making a call
Enter the phone number (max. 32 digits)
The display always shows the last 12 digits of a phone number.
Following incorrect input, press the button to delete the last
digit

entire number
Dial the phone number
It is also possible to press the Call button first to obtain the dialling tone for an outside
line. The digits in the phone number then entered are dialled immediately. It is not pos-
sible to correct wrong digits individually using this dialling procedure.
Calling from a private branch exchange
Dealing with the number for an outside line and dialling pauses is explained in Chapter 9.
Redialling
The telephone stores the last 10 numbers dialled in a redialling list.
Open the redialling list
(the last phone number dialled appears in the display)
or , Select the entry required and dial the number
If a phone number has been stored in the phone book, the name associated with it
appears in the display.
