Remote access
It is possible to call your answering machine from a distant phone to listen to any messages
recorded and execute other functions. A condition for this is that the telephone from which you
make the call can be set to Tone dialling mode (DTMF).
If you want to contact another answering machine from your telephone using remote access,
please observe the information in Section Dialling mode on Page 43.
Security code for remote access
In order to use the remote access facility, you must enter the 3−digit security code. The default
security code set at the factory is 000". It can be changed as follows:
Activate setting mode
or , Change the 1st digit and confirm
or , Change the 2nd digit and confirm
or , Change the 3rd digit and confirm
The new security code is announced.
Starting remote access
Dial your own phone number
, Press the button during the outgoing message and enter
the security code
Remote access is automatically cancelled if there is no input within 10 seconds.
If you make an incorrect entry, the answering machine’s outgoing message is played
again.
If the security code is entered incorrectly three times, the line is automatically discon-
nected.
Play all messages
or
Only play newly recorded messages
It is possible to activate other functions within ten seconds of the message playback ending.

The following table provides an overview of the respective functions assigned to the individual
buttons.
Pressing opens a further menu with which to change the outgoing message on your
answering machine via the remote access facility.
Listen to the entire menu announcement before pressing the relevant button to open
the required submenu.
