BEFORE USING

The first time the phone turns on, the display asks
you to enter the current date and time. Take the
Steps 5 and 6.
To change the date and time any time in Standby
mode:
1. Press the MENU soft key to display the
Main menu items.
2. Press the  or  key to choose BS
Settings, and press the SELECT soft key.
Result: The display asks you to enter the Base PIN.
3. Enter the PIN, and press the SELECT soft
key.
Result:
The Base PIN is preset to “0000” at the factory.
You can change the PIN. For details, see page 36.
4. Press the  or  key to choose
8:System Time, and then press the
SELECT soft key.
Result: The current setting is displayed. The date displays
in a format of Day/Month/Year in the upper line.
The time displays in a format of Hour:Minute in
the lower line.
5. Enter the current date and time using the
number keypad.
NNootteess::
• Enter the time in a 24-hour format. For example,
enter 2215 for 10:15PM.
• You can enter the year from 2000 to 2050. Just
enter the last two digits of the year (e.g. 04).
• If you want to correct a digit in the middle while
setting the date and time, use the  or  key
to move the cursor to the incorrect number, then
enter a correct number.
6. Press the SELECT soft key to save the
setting.
7. Press the key to return to Standby
mode (see “Standby mode” on page 12).
