8. Set the options as required. To send the
message, select 1:Send from the SMS
option.
Result: The message is transferred to the selected
destination. See “To Transfer a Message” on this
page.
NNootteess::
If you have an incoming call while creating a
message, you can retrieve the message after
answering the call. When you access the 1:Write
Message option, the display shows “ Want to
edit your last message?” if there is an unsent
message. You can choose Yes to finish writing
the message and send it. To cancel, select N o,
and you are guided to write a new message.
To send a Fax Message:
1. After accessing the S M S menu, write a
fax message. Perform the steps 1 through
3 in “To Send a Short Message” on page
41.
2. Press the  or  key to select 2:Fax,
and the O K soft key.
Result:
The display asks you to enter the fax header.
3. Enter the fax header and press the O K
soft key.
Result:
You can enter up to 80 characters including
spaces. For information about entering text,
see page 20.
4. Enter a fax number, and press the O K
soft key.
Result: The fax is transferred to the selected destination.

To send an E-mail:
1. After accessing the SMS menu, write a
fax message. Perform the steps 1 through
3 in “To Send a Short Message” on page
41.
2. Press the  or  key to select 3:E-mail,
and the O K soft key.
Result: The display asks you to enter the e-mail address.
3. Enter an e-mail address using the
alphanumeric keys. you can enter the
address containing up to 80 characters.
To enter “@”, use the 1 key. See page 20.
Result: The e-mail message is transferred to the selected
destination. See “To Transfer a Message” on this
page.
To send a Fax Message:
When the message is being sent, the display shows
“Transferring SMS” and then shows “Success!” or “Fail!”
according to the sending result.
When the sending is successful, the display shows “Save
Message?”. Use the  or  key to save the message
in the Outbox or not. If the sending fails, the display
shows the following options:
• Transmit Again: retries to send the message.
• Save Message: saves the message in the Outbox
for sending later.
