* Description of footnoted commands (also applies to identical stages in configuring
Site B):
(1) The CIR Out value depends on the number of phones (approx. 26Kbps per
phone for G.729 CODEC).
(2) This is a value that causes the EIR to reach the Access Rate (192Kbps), where
EIR=(Bc+Be)/Tc, in this configuration EIR = (16000+8000)/0.125 =192Kbps.
(3) This value is usually 1/8 of the CIR value, in this configuration Tc = 125msec.
(4) In this configuration the non-high priority data packets are marked as DE when
the transfer rate reaches 80% of the CIR.
(5) At this stage, you configure X330WAN to fragment the data packets to prevent
the long packets from causing delay to the voice packets.
(6) At this stage you assign map-class VoIP to the interface DLCI.
Configuration Example 1 for Site B - Single VC Between Sites
Following is the configuration procedure for the X330WAN-2USP, as shown in
Figure 4.11:
• Loopback and PMI interfaces configuration:
