The following table describes the fields used on the Server Mode page.
Field Description
SERVER MODE Based on what has been decided for your site, select the Server Mode
for your AirSpeed 5000 environment. Select one of the following
options:

Based on the mode you select, the available options will be
different.
Standalone Mode - In this mode, media is transferred directly
between an editor workstation and the AirSpeed 5000. Interplay
Production is not supported in this configuration and there is no
direct transfer of media between the AirSpeed 5000 and shared
storage (Avid ISIS).
If Standalone mode is selected, you need to perform some
specific steps related to Standalone mode configuration. For
more information, see “Standalone Mode Configuration
Requirements” on page 3.
Team Mode - In this mode, media is transferred directly between
AirSpeed 5000 and shared storage (Avid ISIS). Interplay
Production is not supported in this configuration.
If Team mode is selected, you need to perform some specific
steps related to Team mode configuration. For more information,
see “Team Mode Configuration Requirements” on page 4.
Interplay Production Mode - In this mode, AirSpeed 5000 is
directly integrated with Interplay Production components and
media is transferred directly between AirSpeed 5000 and shared
storage (Avid ISIS).
If Interplay Production mode is selected, you need to perform
some specific steps related to Interplay Production mode
configuration. For more information, see “Interplay Production
Mode Configuration Requirements” on page 5.

If Interplay Production mode is selected, your Avid Service
Framework must be configured to properly join the Interplay
Production environment using the Avid Workgroup Properties
dialog box. For more information, see “Avid Workgroup
Properties” in the Avid Service Framework User’s Guide.
- Interplay Server Name (Interplay Production Mode only) Type the name of your Interplay
server.
- Interplay Database Name (Interplay Production Mode only) Type the name of your Interplay
database. the standard database name is AvidW G.
