Configuring Your Basic Server Settings
This procedure contains information on how to setup your basic server settings for your
AirSpeed 5000 server.
To configure basic server settings:
1. In the SERVER MODE area, select the Server mode for your site. Options are:
t Standalone Mode
t Team Mode
t Interplay Production Mode
2. (Option) If you selected Interplay Production Mode as your Server mode, complete the
following fields. Otherwise, go to Step 3:
t In the Interplay Server Name field, type the name of your Interplay server.
t In the Interplay Database Name field, type the name of your Interplay database.
t In the Interplay User Name field, type a user name for the Interplay user.
t In the Interplay Password field, type a password for the Interplay user.
- Enable DNx185/220 Select this check box only if you will be recording or playing
DNxHD 185/220 in your workflow. Otherwise, leave this option
deselected.
Selecting this option limits the server to Channels 1 and 2. If you
select this option, Channels 3 and 4 are disabled.
In addition, if this option is selected, Channels 3 and 4 will be grayed
out (and unavailable) in the AirSpeed 5000 Remote Console.
AVID SYSTEM ID The AVID SYSTEM ID section is for entering and displaying the
Avid System ID for the AirSpeed 5000 server.
- System ID Type the Avid System ID. The Avid System ID is the 11-digit
number found on one the stickers located on the yellow Avid Service
ID card.
An Avid System ID sticker might have been placed on your
AirSpeed 5000 server during system setup. Otherwise, you need to
locate the yellow Avid Service ID card that was shipped with your
system, and type in the System ID from the card.
Once entered, the System ID appears on this page, as well as in the
Activation Page, whenever you are activating or deactivating options
on your AirSpeed 5000 server.
