The following table describes the fields used on the Users page.
Field Description
New User Name If you want to:
• Create a New user, see Creating a New User.
• Copy an existing User to quickly create a new user with similar permissions,
see Copying an Existing User.
• Modify an existing user’s permissions, see Modifying User Permissions.
• Delete a user from the list, see Deleting a User.
ADMINISTRATOR
PERMISSIONS
For each channel 1-4, select the Play and Record permissions you want for the
selected user.
• Play - Enables this user to play media on the selected channel(s).
• Record - Enables this user to record media from the selected channel(s).

All of these permissions are enabled by default for all users.
INVENTORY Select the inventory privileges that you want this user to have. Options are:
• Read - Allows this user to view inventory on the database.
• Modify - Allows this user to modify inventory on the database.
• Delete - Allows this user to delete inventory from the database.
FTP (Option) If you want enable this user to have FTP capabilities in their workflow,
select the Allow check box.
If you select this option, you must also type a user-definable password in the
Password field.
We do not support the use of “ftp” or “admin” as an FTP username.
