Knife cover

nonworking position.
Turn handwheel till drive shaft is at its most right position.
Push clutch button to the left and up for cover stitch / chain
stitch.
Caution: Be sure to turn off the power switch.
Turn handwheel till drive shaft is at its most right position.
Push clutch button to the left and down for overlock.
Open front cover
To remove knife cover lift tab and pull toward you.
Place the two tabs of the seam guide plate in the slots on the
front cover then snap into place.
The markings on the seam guide plate indicate the distance
from the chain stitch needle and the fabric edge. Use this as
a reference guide between the needle and edge of fabric.
When starting to sew, pull the thread chain lightly to the rear
of machine until the needle penetrates the fabric.
When starting to sew after threading the machine, sew2~3
cm on a scrap fabric and chain-off to make a chain.
At end of sewing, pull the fabric lightly to the rear of machine
and chain-off.
To disengage upper looper
Move knife into nonworking position
To re-engage upper looper
To install the seam guide plate
Start and end of sewing
