With constant power, electrical power to the ECU is present whenever the ignition switch is in the “on“ position. Once a minimum voltage of 8.5 V has been achieved, the ECU will initiate full ABS function at levels between 8 volts and 16 volts.

ADL reads/controls the TABS6 auxiliary I/O’s and/or the SAE J1587 diagnostics and SAE J2497 PLC data links. Refer to Section 3.1.

The mileage is computed by utilizing information calculated from the vehicle wheel speeds. This feature has a resolution of 0.62 miles (1.0Km) per power-up and will store the mileage up to 10,000,000 miles (16,700,000 Km).

Normal bearing endplay will also cause the sensor to be pushed slightly away from the exciter ring. These two actions establish an air gap between the sensor and exciter ring. The exciter ring is provided by the hub supplier, which contains equally spaced high/low areas called “teeth”. Exciter rings typically contain 100 teeth.

The BR9235 MRV is controlled by the TABS6 ECU to modify driver applied air pressure to the service brakes during ABS activation.

This filter body is made of nylon and is screwed in place directly in the control line port.

This record is commonly referred to as Event History. When a fault self-heals or is manually cleared, the fault code remains in event history as an inactive fault. The event history log consists of thirty (30) records.

Errors that cannot be detected statically are detected through evaluation of the pattern of the wheel speed(s) (dynamically); the vehicle must drive with a minimum speed, which depends on the detection method. 5.2.3.

The TABS6 monitors the vehicle velocity data from PLC. If no trailer wheel speed information is being received, yet the vehicle velocity from PLC has been greater than 18.

The TABS6 detects if there is any excessive ABS activation times and/or regular short ABS activation’s over an extended period. All control functions are turned off as long as this fault is active. With this fault, the TABS6 illuminates the trailer-mounted warning lamp and broadcast the diagnostic message over the diagnostic data bus if possible. 5.2.

Partial Failure ABS Modes Detected faults shall have the affect of shutting down control to the entire ABS, or only to the affected channel.
