Disposing of the batteries

B atteries must not be disposed of in the household waste. They may contain poisonous heavy
metals and are subject to special refuse treatment.
• T he codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = Battery contains lead,
Cd = Battery contains cadmium,
Hg = Battery contains mercury.
