BEFORE YOU START ☑ Turn Off Power at Breaker Contact an electrician if you are uncomfortable performing electrical work. A licensed electrician must install the fan if required by local code. ☑ Gather Tools ☑ Prepare Fan Site and Gather Hardware CAUTION Do not use the fan with a dimmer switch. Outlet Box: Make sure your outlet box is suitable for fan support. If there is not an outlet box at the fan location, install one on a ceiling joist or beam.
BEFORE YOU START ☑ Check Ceiling Slope (Universal Mount) Consult the table below to make sure you have the appropriate downrod length for your ceiling slope. Universal Mount fans can be installed on flat or sloped ceilings with an angle no greater than 33° (approximately 8:12 roof pitch). BEFORE YOU START ☑ Prepare Concrete Ceiling (if applicable) Universal Mount Drill three Ø 8 mm holes in the pattern shown (Fig. 1). The hole depth should not exceed 46 mm (Fig. 2). Remove dust from holes. Insert anchor bolts into holes. Strike the heads of the anchor bolts with a hammer, ensuring bolt sleeves are flush with ceiling surface. Position mounting bracket on anchor bolts. Ensure all anchor bolts are fully tightened to expand and lock the anchors.
BEFORE YOU START Low Profile Mount Drill four Ø 8 mm holes in the pattern shown (Fig. 1). The hole depth should not exceed 46 mm (Fig. 2). Remove dust from holes. Insert anchor bolts into holes. UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 1. Install airfoils Make sure the sticker color on each airfoil matches the corresponding sticker color on the motor unit. Moving clockwise, slide each airfoil edge under the lower cover, align the mounting holes with the holes on the motor unit, and secure with the airfoil hardware. Make sure the grommets are positioned correctly in the holes (Fig. 1). Fig.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 2. Install downrod No Uplight If not installing an uplight, align holes on downrod with holes on motor bracket. Position downrod wiring harness so that it is on the same side of the motor shaft as the motor unit wiring harness. Position ground wire and safety cable so that they are on the opposite side of the motor shaft as the motor unit wiring harness. Secure downrod with the lower mounting hardware (Fig. 2a). Fig.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 3. Install lower safety cable and ground wire Install safety cable and ground wire lugs with unpainted screws and lock washers (Fig. 3). Make sure wiring harnesses are as close to downrod as possible so that they do not interfere with uplight installation (Fig 4.1). Fig. 4.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION Skip this step if you are not installing an uplight. If you purchased the UV-C option, install the UV-C LED boards on the uplight before installing the uplight on the fan. Refer to the instructions packaged with the UV-C LED boards. Align rectangular cutouts in center of uplight with bolts on downrod. Make sure uplight wiring harness and motor unit wiring harness are on opposite sides of downrod. Slide uplight down the downrod until it stops (Fig 4.2).
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 5. Connect wiring harnesses No Uplight If not installing an uplight, connect downrod wiring harness to motor unit wiring harness (Fig. 5a). UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 6. Reduce slack Make sure all hardware is secure, and then gently tug cables at top of downrod to reduce slack (Fig. 6). Make sure rubber plug at top of downrod stays in place. Fig. 6 7. Position wiring cover and canopy Slide wiring cover down the downrod, resting it on the motor unit or uplight. Make sure no wires are visible. Slide canopy down the downrod, resting it on the wiring cover (Fig. 7). Fig.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 8. Install mounting ball Do not over-tighten the mounting ball screw. Slide mounting ball over downrod (Fig. 8.1). Insert 6 mm steel pin into hole at top of downrod, and then slide the mounting ball upward, seating the steel pin in the inner slots (Fig. 8.2). Insert wedge into mounting ball and secure with screw (Fig. 8.3). Tighten screw enough to prevent movement between the mounting ball and downrod, but do not overtighten.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 9. Install mounting bracket WARNING Disconnect power to fan location before installing mounting bracket. Mount only to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support. Secure mounting bracket to mounting structure with suitable hardware (not supplied) (Fig. 9). Outlet box shown. Your mounting structure may differ. UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 11. Wire fan WARNING Disconnect power to fan location before wiring fan. Do not connect fan to a damaged power source. Do not attempt to resolve electrical failures on your own. Consult a qualified electrician if uncertain of the electrical installation of this fan. Wire fan as shown on the following pages using the wire connectors. If your fan packaging did not include an EMI filter, refer to Fig. 11a. If your fan packaging included an EMI filter, refer to Fig. 11b.

UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 12. Install fan stabilizer (if included) Fan stabilizer is included only with damp-rated fans. Install stabilizer in covered outdoor locations on flat ceilings only. Position stabilizer into notches on top of mounting ball (Fig. 12.1). Secure stabilizer plate to stabilizer with fan stabilizer hardware (Fig. 12.2). UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 13. Secure safety cable Some local safety codes require the safety cable to be secured directly to an existing part of the building structure (Canada, Singapore). It may be necessary to install additional structural material to provide attachment points. Check your local safety code if you are unsure. Acceptable building structures include a wooden beam or a metal mounting brace secured between two beams. Raise canopy Raise canopy to mounting bracket, aligning the four holes on the canopy with the holes on the bracket.
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 15. Install downlight (optional) CAUTION To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect power to fan before installing downlight. Remove lower cover from bottom of motor unit by twisting counterclockwise (Fig 15.1). Save the lower cover. Reinstall it if you later uninstall the downlight. Plug downlight wiring harness into receptacle on bottom of motor unit. Align slots on downlight with tabs on bottom of motor unit and twist downlight clockwise to secure in place (Fig. 15.2).
UNIVERSAL MOUNT INSTALLATION 16. Test fan CAUTION Do not expose the remote control to rain or water. Congratulations! Installation is now complete. Turn on power, and then press any button on the remote control to pair it with your fan. Test your fan using the remote (Fig. 16). Note: It is normal for the fan to jerk forward and backward slightly for a few seconds when first turned on. Fig.

LOW PROFILE MOUNT INSTALLATION 5. Hang fan Raise fan to mounting plate and temporarily rest one rubber bumper in the space between the mounting bracket and mounting plate (Fig. 5). Fig. 5 6. Secure safety cable Two people are recommended for this step, or the fan should be placed upright on a stable surface during this step to allow both hands to be free for securing the safety cable.

LOW PROFILE MOUNT INSTALLATION 8. Secure mounting brackets Raise fan to mounting plate. Insert one rubber bumper between the mounting plate and the loosely installed mounting bracket. Secure the other bumper with the remaining mounting bracket and 6 mm nylock nuts (Fig. 8). Tighten all four nuts with a wrench until snug. Fig. 8 Mounting Bracket 6 mm Nylock Nut 9. Install wiring cover and screw caps Raise wiring cover, allowing about a 1/8" (3 mm) gap at ceiling.

TROUBLESHOOTING Issue Solution This is normal and may happen occasionally upon The fan jerks upon startup. startup. An initial slight jerking forward and backward does not affect fan operation. The fan will not start. The fan wobbles. • Make sure the fan is receiving power. Check your circuit breaker or fuse panel and wall switch for functionality. • Make sure supply power is adequate. • Make sure all wires are securely connected and the fan is properly wired and grounded.
TROUBLESHOOTING Issue Solution Remove the downtube screw caps and locate the pivot bolt on the downtube. Loosen the bolt with a 5 mm hex key to allow the fan to hang straight, and then re-tighten. Reinstall the screw caps. The fan appears slightly tilted. (Low Profile Mount only) The fan is noisy during operation. Bring the fan to a complete stop. • Gently turn the airfoils by hand, making sure there are no fan parts rubbing on the hub when the fan rotates. • Check all mounting and fan hardware.
MAINTENANCE WARNING Risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons during cleaning and user maintenance. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before servicing. Please take a few moments each year to perform the following preventative maintenance procedures on your fan to ensure its safe and efficient operation.

INSTALLATION D'UN SUPPORT UNIVERSEL 1. Poser les pales Assurez-vous que la couleur de l'autocollant sur chaque pale correspond à la couleur de l'autocollant correspondant sur le bloc moteur. Dans le sens horaire, faites glisser chaque bord du profil aérodynamique sous le capot inférieur, alignez les trous de montage avec les trous du bloc moteur et fixez-les avec la matériel du profil aérodynamique. Assurez-vous que les œillets sont correctement positionnés dans les trous (Fig. 1). Fig.

Positionnez le faisceau de câblage de la tige d’extension du même côté que l'arbre du moteur que le faisceau de câblage de l'unité du moteur.

Installer le câble de sécurité inférieur et le fil de mise à la terre Installez les cosses du câble de sécurité et du fil de terre avec des vis et des rondelles de blocage non peintes (Fig. 3). Si vous avez acheté l'option UV-C, installez les cartes DEL UV-C sur l’éclairage dirigé vers le haut avant d'installer l’éclairage dirigé vers le haut sur le ventilateur. Reportez-vous aux instructions fournies avec les cartes DEL UV-C. Alignez les découpes rectangulaires au centre d’éclairage dirigé vers le haut avec les boulons sur la tige d’extension.

Connectez les faisceaux de câblage Pas d'éclairage dirigé vers le haut Si vous n'installez pas d'éclairage dirigé vers le haut, connectez le faisceau de câbles de la tige d’extension au faisceau de câbles de l'unité moteur (Fig. 5a). INSTALLATION D'UN SUPPORT UNIVERSEL 6. Réduire le jeu Assurez-vous que tout le matériel est bien fixé, puis tirez doucement sur les câbles en haut de la tige d’extension pour réduire le mou (Fig. 6). Assurez-vous que le bouchon en caoutchouc en haut de la tige d’extension reste en place. Fig. 6 7. Placer le cache-fils et le couvercle Faites glisser le couvercle du câblage le long de la tige d’extension, en le posant sur le bloc moteur ou vers le haut. Assurez-vous qu'aucun fil n'est visible.
INSTALLATION D'UN SUPPORT UNIVERSEL 8. Installer la rotule de montage Ne serrez pas trop la vis à rotule de montage. Faites glisser la rotule de montage sur la tige d’extension (Fig. 8.1). Insérez une goupille en acier de 6 mm dans le trou en haut de la tige d’extension, puis faites glisser la rotule de montage vers le haut en plaçant la goupille en acier dans les fentes intérieures (Fig. 8.2). Insérez la cale dans la rotule de montage et fixez-la avec une vis (Fig. 8.3).

Installer le support de montage AVERTISSEMENT Débranchez l'alimentation au niveau de l'emplacement du ventilateur avant de procéder à l'installation du support de montage. Montez uniquement sur une boîte de sortie marquée acceptable pour le support du ventilateur. Fixez le support de montage à la structure de montage à l'aide du matériel approprié (non fourni) (Fig. 9). Boîte de sortie illustrée. Votre structure de montage peut être différente.
INSTALLATION D'UN SUPPORT UNIVERSEL 11. Ventilateur filaire AVERTISSEMENT Débranchez l'alimentation à l'emplacement du ventilateur avant de réaliser le câblage du ventilateur. Ne branchez pas le ventilateur à une source d'alimentation endommagée. Ne tentez pas de résoudre les défaillances électriques par vous-même. Consultez un électricien certifié si vous n'êtes pas certain de l'installation électrique de ce ventilateur.

INSTALLATION D'UN SUPPORT UNIVERSEL 12. Installer un stabilisateur de ventilateur (si inclus) Le stabilisateur de ventilateur est inclus uniquement avec les ventilateurs homologués pour l'humidité. Installez le stabilisateur dans des endroits extérieurs couverts sur des plafonds plats uniquement. Positionnez le stabilisateur en encoches sur le dessus de la rotule de montage (Fig. 12.1). Fixez la plaque stabilisatrice au stabilisateur à l'aide d'une matériel de stabilisateur de ventilateur (Fig. 12.2).

Sécuriser le câble de sécurité Certains codes de sécurité régionaux exigent que le câble de sécurité soit fixé directement à une pièce existante de la structure du bâtiment (Canada, Singapour). Il pourrait être nécessaire d'installer un matériau de structure supplémentaire pour disposer de points d'attache. Consultez le code de sécurité pertinent si vous êtes incertain.

Les structures de construction acceptables comprennent une poutre en bois ou une entretoise de montage métallique fixée entre deux poutres. Installation de l'éclairage dirigé vers le bas (en option) ATTENTION Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, débranchez le ventilateur avant d'installer l'éclairage dirigé vers le bas. Retirez le capot inférieur du bas de l'unité moteur en tournant dans le sens contraire horaire (Fig 15.1). Mettez de côté le capot inférieur. Réinstallez-le si vous désinstallez ultérieurement le voyant vers le bas.

Allumez l'appareil, puis appuyez sur n'importe quel bouton de la télécommande pour le synchroniser avec votre ventilateur. Testez votre ventilateur à l'aide de la télécommande (Fig. 16).

Dans le sens horaire, faites glisser chaque bord du profil aérodynamique sous le capot inférieur, alignez les trous de montage avec les trous du bloc moteur et fixez-les avec la matériel du profil aérodynamique. Installer la plaque de fixation AVERTISSEMENT Débranchez l'alimentation au niveau de l'emplacement du ventilateur avant de procéder à l'installation du support de montage. Suspendez le ventilateur Soulevez le ventilateur jusqu'à la plaque de montage et posez temporairement un pare-chocs en caoutchouc dans l'espace entre le support de montage et la plaque de montage (Fig. 5). Insérez un pare-chocs en caoutchouc entre la plaque de montage et le support de fixation desserré. Fixez l'autre pare-chocs avec le support de fixation restant et les écrous de verrouillage 6 mm (Fig. 8). Serrez les quatre écrous à l'aide d'une clé jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient bien serrés. Installer l'éclairage dirigé vers le bas (optionnel) ATTENTION Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique, débranchez le ventilateur avant d'installer l'éclairage dirigé vers le bas. Retirez le capot inférieur du bas de l'unité moteur en tournant dans le sens contraire horaire (Fig 10.1). Mettez de côté le capot inférieur. Réinstallez-le si vous désinstallez ultérieurement le voyant vers le bas.

Allumez l'appareil, puis appuyez sur n'importe quel bouton de la télécommande pour l'assortir à votre ventilateur. Testez votre ventilateur à l'aide de la télécommande (Fig. 11).
DÉPANNAGE Problème Le ventilateur fait des secousses au démarrage. Solution Ceci est normal et peut se produire occasionnellement au démarrage. Un léger mouvement initial vers l'avant et l'arrière n'affecte pas le fonctionnement du ventilateur. • Le ventilateur de démarre pas. • • • • • • • • • Le ventilateur oscille. Assurez-vous que l'alimentation parvient au ventilateur. Vérifiez le bon fonctionnement de votre disjoncteur ou panneau de fusible ainsi que l'interrupteur mural.
DÉPANNAGE Problème Solution Retirez les capuchons de vis du tube descendant et localisez le boulon pivot sur le tube descendant. Desserrez le boulon à l'aide d'une clé hexagonale de 5 mm pour permettre au ventilateur de pendre droit, puis resserrez. Réinstallez les capuchons de vis. Le ventilateur apparaît légèrement incliné. (Montage en profile bas uniquement) Le ventilateur est bruyant lorsqu'il fonctionne. Arrêtez le ventilateur complètement.

Instale las aspas aerodinámicas Asegúrese de que el color de la etiqueta de cada aspa aerodinámica coincida con el color de la etiqueta correspondiente en la unidad del motor. Desplazándose en el sentido de las manecillas del reloj, deslice cada borde del aspa aerodinámica por debajo de la cubierta inferior, alinee los orificios de montaje con los orificios de la unidad del motor y fíjelos con los accesorios del aspa aerodinámica.

Coloque el cable de tierra y el cable de seguridad, de modo que estén en el lado opuesto del eje del motor como el arnés del cableado de la unidad del motor.

Inserte el pasador de acero de 6 mm en el orificio que se encuentra en la parte superior de la varilla y, luego, deslice la bola de montaje hacia arriba, fijando el pasador en las ranuras interiores (Fig. 8.2). Inserte la cuña en la bola de montaje y sujete con el tornillo (Fig. 8.3).

Monte solo en una caja de distribución marcada como aceptable para soportar el ventilador. Fije el soporte de montaje a la estructura de montaje con los accesorios pertinentes (no proporcionados) (Fig. 9). Se muestra la caja de distribución. Su estructura de montaje puede diferir.
INSTALACIÓN DEL MONTAJE UNIVERSAL 11. Conecte el ventilador ADVERTENCIA Antes de cablear el ventilador, desconecte la corriente del lugar donde se hará la instalación. No conecte el ventilador a una fuente de alimentación dañada. No intente reparar fallas eléctricas por su cuenta. Si tiene alguna duda sobre la instalación eléctrica de este ventilador, consulte a un electricista calificado. Conecte el ventilador como se muestra en las siguientes páginas utilizando los conectores de cable.

Instale el estabilizador en exteriores cubiertos en techos planos únicamente. Coloque el estabilizador en las muescas de la parte superior de la bola de montaje (Fig. 12.1). Fije la placa del estabilizador a este con los accesorios para el estabilizador de ventilador (Fig. 12.2).

Fije el cable de seguridad Algunos códigos de seguridad locales exigen que el cable de seguridad se fije directamente a una parte existente de la estructura del edificio (Canadá, Singapur). Es posible que sea necesario instalar materiales estructurales adicionales para proporcionar puntos de fijación. Si tiene dudas, verifique el código de seguridad local.

Las estructuras aceptables incluyen una viga de madera o una abrazadera de montaje de metal fijada entre las dos vigas. Encienda la alimentación y, luego, presione cualquier botón del control remoto para emparejarlo con su ventilador. Pruebe su ventilador con el control remoto (Fig. 16). Nota: Es normal que el ventilador se sacuda hacia adelante y hacia atrás ligeramente durante unos segundos cuando se encienda por primera vez. Fig.

Inserte un amortiguador de goma entre la placa de montaje y el soporte de montaje instalado sin ajustar. Fije el otro amortiguador con el soporte de montaje restante y las tuercas Nylock de 6 mm (Fig. 8). Ajuste las cuatro tuercas con una llave inglesa hasta que queden bien apretada. RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Problema Solución Retire las tapas roscadas del tubo descendente y localice el perno pivote en el tubo descendente. Afloje el perno con una llave hexagonal de 5 mm para permitir que el ventilador se suspenda recto y, luego, vuelva a ajustarlo. Vuelva a instalar las tapas roscadas. El ventilador parece ligeramente inclinado. (Solo para el montaje de bajo perfil) El ventilador hace demasiado ruido mientras está funcionando. Detenga por completo el ventilador.
