2. Enter a value using the pop-up numeric keypad.

Naming a Protocol
A new protocol requires a name, which can be changed later if desired. When editing an
existing protocol, the user has the option of renaming the protocol. Renaming the protocol
does not remove the original protocol.
To name a protocol from the new protocol or protocol editor screen:
1. Touch the Name button.
2. Enter a name using the pop-up alphanumeric keypad.
3. Touch the OK button to confirm.
NOTE: A protocol name on a C1000 Touch cycler can include up to twelve letters
and numbers. It cannot be duplicated in the same folder.
Saving a Protocol
To save a new or modified protocol:
1. Touch the Save button once the protocol has been edited and is ready to be saved.
Saving the protocol with the same name replaces the original protocol. Saving the
protocol with a new name adds a new protocol, and does not remove the original
protocol or its name.
2. To save the protocol with a new name, touch the File Name button and enter a new
name.
3. Select the destination and folder using the corresponding dropdown lists.
In Figure 17, the Adam folder is selected. Touch New Folder to create a new folder, if
desired.
