Recent location — contains a list of all previously run protocols
Real-time data location — contains the last 100 real-time PCR data files
User locations — contains folders created by users for personal protocol storage.
The user folders can be accessed by everyone, but only a user who is logged in can
edit, delete, or save into user folders
Attached locations (optional) — exist when external devices such as USB flash
drives or S1000

Managing Files and Folders
To manage files and folders, touch the Saved Files button on the home screen to open the
saved files screen. The menu of functions in the saved files screen provides options for
managing files and folders; the menu changes based on what is selected. Table 8 lists all the
folder and file functions available in the saved files screen. Folder and file names can have a
maximum of 12 characters when stored on a C1000 Touch instrument. Folder and file names
have a maximum of 8 characters when stored on an S1000 instrument.
Creating a New Folder
To create a new folder:
1. Touch the Saved Files button on the home screen.
2. Select a Location.
