Scaling Options
These options, shown in Figure 6.52, are only active in Normalized Expression mode; they
allow you to calculate and present your data in a manner that is best suited for your experiment.

Scale to Highest: This option recalculates the normalized expression for each gene by
dividing the expression level of each condition by the highest expresser. The highest
expresser for each gene has a value of 1
Scale to Lowest: This option recalculates the normalized expression for each gene by
dividing the expression level of each condition by the lowest expresser. The lowest
expresser for each gene has a value of 1
Unscaled: This option does not scale to any sample in particular. It presents unscaled
normalized expression
Scale to Control: Scale to control is another scaling option which is accomplished by
assigning a control in the Condition List.
x-Axis Options
You may graph either genes or conditions on the x-axis by changing these options (Figure 6.53).
