5 Place the module into the ESD bag to protect it from potential ESD damage. This will also prevent
dust from collecting on the module connectors.
6 If a replacement module will not be installed in the chassis slot, install a module blank to ensure that
the BlackDiamond20808 chassis maintains proper cooling.
For more information about installing module blanks, see “Installing I/O or Management Module
Blanks” on page 80.
Leave the ESD-preventive wrist strap permanently connected to the chassis; this is to ensure that the
strap is always available when you need to handle ESD-sensitive components.
