ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR

SWL-16P, SWL-23P, SWL-32P

CAUTION: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FOR SAFE OPERATION AND INSTALLATION.

CAUTION

1. Turn off the main power at the circuit breaker before installing the fixture in order to prevent possible

shock.

2. Fixture can be controlled with a standard line voltage on/off toggle or paddle wall switch. Optionally,

fixture can be dimmed if using a TRIAC phase control dimmer wall switch

3. Recommended TRIAC dimmers:

LUTRON: ARIADNI AYCL-153P, DIVA DVCL-153P, SKYLARK CTCL-153P, SKYLARK SCL-153P;

LEVITON: ILLUMATECH IPI06-1L, ILLUMATECH IPI10-1L, DECORA DSL06, DECORA DSM10;

LEGRAND: ADORNE: WHISPER/ ADWR, SOFTTAP/ ADTP, TOUCH/ ADTH.

GENERAL

All electrical connections must be in accordance with local and national electrical code (N.E.C.) standards.

If you are unfamiliar with proper electrical wiring connections, obtain the services of a qualified electrician.

Remove the fixture and the mounting package from the box and make sure that no parts are missing by

referencing the illustrations on the installation instruction sheet.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

1. Take the fixture out of the box. You will see one 6” stem and three 12” stems. (Fixture can be ordered

with additional 24’’ stems. Each fixture provides a 12’ wire length to accept up to 4 additional stem sections (8

feet) for a maximum stem length of 11’6’’). Select the suitable size of stems and connect them to the desired

length you need to hang the fixture. Put the fixture wire through the stem and secure it to the threaded nipple on

the ball.

2. Take the wiring barrier plate out of the ceiling plate by loosening two screws. (As shown in Fig.2)

3. Pull the white and black supply wires and the house ground wire out from the outlet box.

Make the wiring connections: connect the white supply wire from outlet box to the AC IN WHITE

WIRE; connect the black supply wire from outlet box to the AC IN BLACK WIRE. Connect the house

ground wire to the ground wire. Carefully tuck all wires back into the outlet box. Locate the ceiling

plate over the outlet box. Put the mounting screws through the slots on the ceiling plate. Then secure the mounting screws into the outlet box tightly. (As shown in Fig.3) 4. To hang fixture, use the lifting rope as a support. Attach the loop on the lifting rope to the hook secured on the ceiling plate. Install the wiring barrier plate onto the ceiling plate by fastening 2 screws. (As shown in Fig.4) 5.
