Service and Warranty Information

䉯 Check windshield wiper and washer jet
positions.
䉯 Tires: Check tread depth, wear pattern, outer
condition, inflation pressure. If necessary,
correct pressure.
䉯 Reset Tire Pressure Monitor.
䉯 Battery: Check state of charge (magic eye) and
charge if required.
䉯 Power steering reservoir: Check fluid level
(except Z4, 5 Series Sedans & all 6 Series).
䉯 Visually inspect all SRS airbag units for torn
covers, obvious damage or attachment of
stickers.
䉯
Convertible: Open the convertible top or
retractable hardtop. Activate automatic rollover
protection system via OBD diagnostic link.
䉯 Rear-view mirrors.
䉯 Coolant: Check fluid level and concentration.
䉯 ActiveHybrid 5: Check coolant level and
concentration in both reservoirs (for gasoline
engine & electric motor electronics).
䉯 Windshield washer and intensive cleaning
system: Check protection level, fluid level; top
up if necessary.
䉯 Brake system connections and lines: Check
for leaks, damage and correct positioning.
䉯 Underbody, incl. all visible parts (i.e.,
transmission, rear axle, fuel lines, exhaust
system): Check for damage, leaks and
corrosion.
䉯 Steering components: Check for clearance,
leaks, damage and wear.
䉯 Final Inspection: Road test with check of:
– Brakes, including burnishing of parking brake
pads (burnishing not applicable for 5, 6
Series and Z4)
– Steering
– Shock absorbers (visual)
– Transmission
