Using the primer
valve,
inject oil un-
til the engine dies or until a sufficient
quantity of oil
has
entered the engine
(approximately 25 complete strokes
of the primer).
10.
The
engine stopped,
remove
the spark
plugs and pour approximately
85
ml
(3 imp. oz.) of oil into the cylinders.
11.
Crank
the
engine
to
allow
the
crank-
shaft to turn 2 or 3 revolutions.
12. Reinstall the spark plugs and the in-
let primer hose.
Do not
run
engine during storage pe-
riod.
Gas
Tank
and
Carburetors
Remove
the cap then using a syphon,
re-
move the gasoline from tank .
WARNING: Gasoline
is
flamma-
ble and explosive under certain
conditions. Always manipulate
in
a well
ventilated area. Do not smoke
or
allow
open flames or sparks
in
the vicinity.
Carburetors must
be
dried out completely
to prevent gum formation during the stor-
age
period.
Once the fuel tank
is
emptied, remove
the float chamber drain plug from car-
buretors. Drain carburetors.

Reinstall plug.
Check
all
fuel lines, replace if necessary.
Battery
(Electric
Starting)
1.
Disconnect the battery cables and
remove the battery retainer cover.

CAUTION:
Be
careful not to
ground
T positive terminal
with
the chas-
sis.
Always disconnect black negative
cable first.
2.
Remove the battery vent tube from
the vent hole.
3.
Lift
out
the battery.
4.
Clean
outside surface of battery with
solution of baking soda and water.
Remove
all
deposits from posts then
rinse
with
clear tap water.

CAUTION: Do not allow cleaning
T solution
to
enter battery interior
since it will destroy
the
electrolyte.
5.
Check electrolyte
level.
Refill if neces-
sary with distilled water. Fully charge
battery at a maximum rate of
2.0
A.

CAUTION: Prior
to
charging the
T battery, always
remove
it from the
vehicle
to
prevent electrolyte spillage.
