2011 – 2014.5 Toyota Camry Qi Wireless Charging Kit

(Kit # FDMC-1240)

Please read thoroughly before starting installation and check that kit contents are complete.

Camry Specific Substrate and Mat

Power Harness with 3 amp Fuse

4 – Pan Head Torx 3/8” Screws

These Instructions with Template

Removable Consumer Product Label

Plastic Trim Removal Tool

T-15 Torx Driver

Phillips Screwdriver

Center Punch/Scribe Tool

Power Drill

3/16’’ and 1/2” Drill Bits

Wire Ties

Soldering Iron & Solder (Recommended)

Tape or Heat Shrink Electrical Tubing

Safety Precautions:

• Work in well ventilated area that is clear of obstructions.

• Secure vehicle with tire chucks in both front and rear of tires.

• Turn vehicle accessories OFF and ensure ignition key is in OFF position.

• Wear safety goggles and snug fitting clothes.

• Use tools only for their intended purpose and which are in good repair.

• Only perform this task if confidence, skill, and physical ability permit.

NOTE: We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date installation instructions.

IMPORTANT: Do not place smart keys

within 6 inches of charging mat.

Vehicle may not detect key to start

vehicle. Do not place metal objects in

tray while charging.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Remove shift knob by unscrewing the handle in counter clockwise direction. Step 4: Use a Phillips Screwdriver to remove (4) Phillips screws. Step 2: Use a Plastic Trim Removal Tool to remove left and right trim on each side of center stack. Step 5: Remove console cross brace support by pushing ends towards front of vehicle. Step 3: Use a Plastic Trim Removal Tool to remove cup holder / shifter bezel. 1240 Instructions 6-26-14.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 7: Pull out and remove console storage bin. Step 8: Disconnect power point and USB plugs to remove storage bin from vehicle. Step 9: Cut out provided template and mark locations for (4) 3/16” holes with a center punch/scribe tool. 1240 Instructions 6-26-14.docx Step 10: Mark location for 1/2" hole. Step 11: Drill 1/2” hole and (4) 3/16” holes in previous marked locations. Step 12: Place Freedom Charge Module in console storage bin.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 13: Route black connector of Charging Module through 1/2" hole and place module in bin. Step 16: Connect Power Harness to Charging Module. Step 14: Flip tray over and insert the (4) 3/8” Pan Head T-15 Torx Screws through tray into module. Step 17: Test system. LED light will illuminate Blue once accessories are on. Once Qi equipped device is placed on Freedom Charge LED will illuminate Green and charging begins.
