7. CORRECT USE

7-6-3 . Thread take-up spring height 7-6-4. Thread take-up spring tension

Loosen the set screw q and turn the tensioner body

to adjust the thread take-up spring height.

Turn the tension stud q with a screwdriver.

7-6-5. Adjusting arm thread guide R

The standard position of arm thread guide R q is when

the screw w is aligned with mark A.

To adjust the position, loosen the screw w and then

move arm thread guide Rq.

* When sewing thick material, move arm thread guide

Rq to the left. (The thread take-up amount will be-

come greater.)

* When sewing thin material, move arm thread guide

Rq to the right. (The thread take-up amount will

become less.)

7-6-6. Thread take-up amount

Loosen the screw q and move the stopper (3.57 nut)

w to adjust the operating angle of the thread take-up

solenoid e.

* To reduce the thread take-up amount, move the

stopper w upward.

* To increase the thread take-up amount, move the

stopper w downward.
