Zipper Insertion
Inserting a centered zipper
Stitching is sewn on both pieces of fabric butted
against each other.

Attach zigzag foot “J”.

Sew straight stitches up to the zipper
opening.
With the right sides of the fabric facing
each other, sew reverse stitches after
reaching the zipper opening.

Baste the fabric from the zipper opening
to the edge of the fabric.

Press open the seam allowance from the
wrong side of the fabric.

Align the seam with the center of the
zipper, and then baste the zipper in place
to the seam allowance.

Remove about 5 cm (2 inches) from the
end of the basting on the outside.
