Using your Built-Under Freezer Getting the most from your appliance Arranging Food in the Appliance The freezer is used for freezing fresh foods and for storing frozen foods for the period of time indicated on the packaging, and for making ice cubes. • For freezing fresh food; wrap and seal fresh food properly - the packaging should be airtight and should not leak. Special freezer bags, aluminium foil (heavy grade; if in doubt doublewrap), polythene bags, and plastic containers are ideal.
