15-3 Configuring Communication Parameters
Before trying to transfer data with the ClassPad, you should perform the procedures
described in this section to configure its data communication parameters.
u ClassPad Operation
(1) On the application menu, tap B.
•This starts the Communication application and displays a window that shows its
current communication parameter settings.
(2) Tap [Setup] and then [Open Setup Menu].
•This displays a dialog box for changing communication parameters, like the one
shown below.
(3) Configure the communication parameter settings as described below.
• Items marked with an asterisk (
*
) are initial defaults.
u Hard Copy
Specify “To outer device”.
u Cable Type
When connecting to this type of device:
Another ClassPad unit or a Data Analyzer
A serial port (available on future ClassPad
models)
A computer’s USB port
Select this setting:
