Avidyne EX5000 MFD
The EX5000 is the most advanced, yet easy-to-use
large-format MFD available for the Citation. Special-use
and class airspaces are color-keyed for added clarity,
and can be displayed at the same time as NEXRAD or
weather radar data for a more complete picture. Full
overlay capability allows you to add or remove traffic,
lightning, and radar, with 180-degree forward view and
360-degree center view maps.
The EX5000’s “map-centric” operation displays
a moving map of your flight plan along with radar,
datalink weather and special-use airspace. Plus traffic,
terrain, lightning and more, without ever leaving the
map page. It’s the only large-format display that pro-
vides the complete picture and it’s the easiest to use.
And Sierra’s price even includes the Bendix/King RDR
2000 interface.
Avidyne EX 500/600 MFDs
For EX5000 functionality in a more compact package, the EX500 and
EX600 provide the same “map-centric” approach in a unit designed to
fit in a standard 6.25-inch ‘mark-width’ radio stack. The EX500 pro-
vides a high-resolution 5.5” display, while the EX600 features a full
640x480 VGA 5.8” display and adds MLX770/MLX780 2-way datalink
support for Avidyne/WSI weather and text messaging capability.
