Garmin GTN 750
The new GTN 750 is an all-in-one GPS/Nav/Comm
solution with built-in SBAS/WAAS navigation capabili-
ties. Approved to fly LPV “glidepath” approaches into
thousands of airports without an ILS.
With the GTN 750’s revolutionary new touchscreen
interface, you’re rarely more than two taps away from
all primary functions. Pan across the map screen by
simply swiping your finger across the 6.9-in. diagonal
high-resolution TFT display. Or enter waypoint data
with the full onscreen keypad. It’s even designed with
raised grips in the bezel
and a shelf across the
lower edge of the display
that serve as gripping
points in turbulent flight
conditions. Concentric
knobs are also available
for traditional data input.
With a wealth of multi-
function display capabili-
ties, the GTN 750 brings
enhanced situational awareness to your cockpit. With
high-resolution terrain mapping including topogra-
phy features, cities, airports, terminal areas, SUAs and
more – and optional Class B TAWS alerting, you’ll find
your way around the airspace safely and with ease. And
the GTN 750 features a front-loading SD™ card reader,
so you can easily update your databases. PilotPak™ da-
tabase bundles are now available on a single aircraft
basis, saving you money and simplifying updates.
Garmin GTN 650
For pilots who want a fully integrated solution in a
small, 2.64-in.-tall package, the GTN 650 is the perfect
choice. The GTN 650 is a space-saving GPS/Nav/Comm
with built-in SBAS/WAAS navigation capabilities. Utiliz-
ing the same intuitive touchscreen interface as the GTN
750, it is fully approved for LPV “glidepath” approaches
into thousands of airports without ILS.
The GTN family makes it easier than ever to get where
you’re going. Graphical flight planning capabilities al-
low you to edit your entire route on the map screen
and easily enter new waypoints or modify existing ones.
The system even lets you load Victor and jet airways. A
handy “rubber band” feature lets you grab any leg of
your flight plan route and move it to accommodate a
deviation or ATC amendment to your flight plan.
A fully certified, 2,280-channel VHF communica-
tions transceiver provides a standard 10 W (or option-
al 16 W) of power output. Couple the system with a
GDL™ 69 series datalink receiver and XM® subscrip-
tions, you can overlay NEXRAD radar right onto your
moving map display and receive satellite music. Or add
a Garmin traffic system and pinpoint other aircraft in
your vicinity. The system can even control the GTX™
32/33 remote transponder, which could save you valu-
able panel space.
Like its “big brother,” the GTN 650 also incorporates
a front-loading SD™ card reader, so you can easily up-
date your databases.

Garmin GTN Series Transponder & Audio Upgrades
Garmin upgrades such as GTX 33-series transponders and GMA 35 remote audio systems are the perfect com-
plement to the exceptional capabilities of Garmin’s GTN series touchscreen units. Make the most of your avionics
upgrade and minimize your downtime by including the best upgrade options for your mission requirements.
GTX 33, GTX 33D (ES) Transponders
With the GTX 33 remote-mounted Mode S digital
transponder, you’ll see the same radar traffic as your
ATC controller. This IFR-certified unit features traffic
datalink capability and meets the European mandate
for Mode S level 2 surveillance. The all solid-state de-
sign of the GTX 33 reduces power consumption and
heat emissions, while its transmitter delivers up to 250
watts power output. Other highlights include remote
ident and auto standby, Traffic Information Services
(TIS) interface, and altitude monitor with voice alerts.
Leading the Way with ADS-B
Extended Squitter (ES) versions of the GTX 33 pro-
vide an affordable pathway to ADS-B compliance for the
FAA’s proposed Next Generation airspace system. Using
precise GPS-referenced positioning information, the ES
technology automatically transmits more accurate and
useful traffic surveillance data including aircraft
flight ID, position, altitude, velocity, climb/descent, and
heading. (Traditional Mode S and Mode C transponders
broadcast only altitude, requiring ground-based radar
to correlate and ID aircraft position.)
Enhanced Traffic Surveillance and More
Certified to TSO-C166a standards, the GTX 33 ES
improves upon the existing transponder query system
while working seamlessly with existing ATC protocols.
The ADS-B reports provide ground controllers with fast-
er updates than traditional radar, and simultaneously
broadcasts this information to TAS or TCAS equipped
pilots, enabling them to essentially see the same traf-
fic that ATC sees on the ground. With everyone in the
ADS-B loop watching and reacting to the same flight
trajectories, safe separation is far easier to maintain.
All the standard GTX 33 transponder features are
retained in the ES version. An antenna diversity op-
tion is available with GTX 33D versions, providing for
improved air-to-air surveillance of TCAS-equipped air-
craft flying above you. The traffic data enabled by the
remote GTX 33 system can be displayed graphically on
Garmin’s integrated GPS/Comm/Nav systems that pro-
vide built-in transponder code selection.
GMA 35 Remote Audio Processor
Designed for the GTN 750 series touchscreen naviga-
tors, the GMA 35 remote audio processor features next-
generation capabilities like advanced auto squelch,
record/playback functionality and much more. Just
touch the onscreen Audio Panel” or “Intercom” but-
ton on your GTN 750/650 to access the audio controls.
The GMA 35’s digital processing is as intelligent as
it is intuitive. The GTN 750 series displays who’s MIC
is on and off and offers independent volume control
for the pilot, copilot and passengers. The GMA 35 fea-
tures 2 dedicated stereo entertainment audio inputs, so
passengers can listen to XM® satellite music or other
entertainment sources while you keep your headset
tuned to radio communications.
