Line
This field toggles through all Ethernet boards that have TCP/IP enabled and TN3270
Clients defined.
Port
This is a five digit decimal number that defines the TCP Port that the server will listen on for
a TN3270 connection. This number must not be the same as one used in the acc$data.sys file
described in Chapter 1. Ports are loaded only at IML time. When making configuration changes
on the TN3270 Client Definition panel with the intent of putting the changes into effect
immediately, you should not attempt to implement a new TCP port. The definition using the
new TCP port will not take affect until the SCON-3074 is re-IMLed.
IP Address
The IP address field is optional. If an address is entered, a TN3270 client connecting on that
TCP Port must reside at that IP address. If another entry contains the same resource, such as
in a 3270 Host Class, and a user requests a session from that class, the LU will be given out
to the requester.
